Our lab is called “CARE Lab,” which stands for “Climate Action and Resilience for Equity.” We focus on climate change from a social science perspective. ‘Climate Action’ represents our commitment to reducing carbon emissions, while ‘Resilience’ emphasizes building adaptive capacity and recovery in a warming world. Lastly, ‘Equity’ highlights our dedication to addressing the needs of marginalized communities. The name ‘CARE’ encapsulates the idea that in the Anthropocene, fostering more equitable and ecologically sustainable relationships requires a spirit of care.
